Beyond the Glass is a Cork-based outdoor activity business. It is the trading name of Beyond the Glass Adventure Tours Limited, a company registered in Ireland (Company No. 624184), with registered office at Top Floor Exchange House, Main Street, Ballincollig. • Enquiries. When you contact us through a website form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you supply it, and the details you send us — for example your message or question and any date, group, activity or company details relevant to your enquiry.
• Bookings. Booking and checkout for our tours, hikes and courses happens through Rezgo, our booking provider. We receive and handle the booking information we need to run your activity, such as your name, contact details and booking choices.
• Marketing signups. If you explicitly sign up for email updates, we collect your first name, email address and any preferences you tell us about.
• Website use. The site uses a small amount of essential browser storage to function. Optional technologies — campaign attribution and live external review content — are used only according to the privacy choices you make. See our Cookie Policy for details.
• Public review excerpts. We may display limited excerpts, with reviewer names, from public Google or TripAdvisor reviews.

In plain terms, we use personal data to:

• answer your enquiries and take steps at your request before a booking;
• deliver the activities you book with us;
• meet legal, accounting and insurance obligations where they apply;
• send marketing emails and run optional website technologies, only where you have given consent; and
• keep the business and website secure and improve our services, where we have a legitimate business interest in doing so.

Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, these uses rest on taking steps towards or performing a contract, legal obligations, your consent, or our legitimate interests, as appropriate.

We use a small number of service providers to run the business and this website:

• Rezgo, for bookings and checkout;
• the payment provider shown during Rezgo checkout, for payment processing;
• Lovable and its managed infrastructure, which hosts this website and sends our enquiry emails;
• Zoho Campaigns, when connected, for email updates to people who have opted in;
• Elfsight, which provides the live Google Reviews widget when you allow external content; and
• Google services such as Maps and Fonts where they are used on the site.

We do not sell personal data.

Some of these providers may process data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards the law requires for such transfers, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it. Booking and financial records are kept for as long as legal, accounting and insurance requirements demand. Enquiry details are kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond and administer the business. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.

This website is served over HTTPS and we apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can ask to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it erased where the law allows. You can also ask us to restrict or object to certain uses, request a portable copy of your data where applicable, and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
